An external temperature sensor measures the medium directly to an accuracy of 0.2 °C, rather than inferring it from the plate surface.
An independent safety cut-out triggers at 420 °C to protect samples, the instrument, and the operator from thermal runaway.
The stainless steel plate carries a ceramic coating that provides good chemical resistance against spilled solvents and corrosive reagents.
