Designed for research involving Bundibugyo ebolavirus (BEBOV), an important member of the Filoviridae family associated with severe viral hemorrhagic fever and emerging infectious disease surveillance.
The assay demonstrates a reported limit of detection (LOD) of 2.5 copies/reaction (500 copies/mL), supporting sensitive detection of low viral loads.
No observed cross-reactivity with multiple hemorrhagic fever-associated pathogens, including Marburg virus, Lassa fever virus, Dengue virus, Yellow fever virus, Rift Valley fever virus, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, and Hantavirus.
The kit contains a housekeeping gene (RNase P) internal control to monitor specimen sampling quality and nucleic acid extraction performance throughout the workflow.
Compatible with Bioperfectus STC-96A/STC-96A PLUS, Applied Biosystems 7500, QuantStudio™ 5, Roche LightCycler®480, Bio-Rad CFX96™, QIAGEN Rotor-Gene Q, Analytik Jena qTOWER 3, and other applicable real-time PCR systems.
Validated for use with human throat swab, serum, and tissue exudate samples.
